Private Label Capsules: Fill Weight, Capsule Count and Packaging
The label may say 'capsules', but the commercial product is defined by fill, serving, count and pack together.

Work back from the daily serving
Start with the proposed ingredients and quantities per day. Then ask how many capsules a customer would need to take to receive that serving. The fill weight of one capsule is not the same as the amount of every active ingredient on the label; the formula may also contain other components needed for processing and fill.
Ask the manufacturer to assess whether the target dose fits the selected capsule size and formula. An attractive one-capsule message does not make an impractical fill feasible. If the serving needs two or more units, show that clearly in the product concept before pack size and price are fixed.
Connect serving to pack count
A bottle of 60 capsules can represent 60 daily servings at one capsule per day or 30 at two. That changes the customer's understanding of the product, the price per day and the information that should be clear on the pack. Compare ranges by servings, not only by capsule count.
Specify capsule size, colour and shell preferences as part of the brief. If you have ingredient exclusions or a vegetarian shell requirement, state them early. Ask which choices are available for the proposed formula and whether they change supply or the minimum production run.
Review the complete pack
Consider bottle material, opening, closure, tamper evidence, label area and any outer packaging. Check the physical sample: can customers handle the pack easily, and is the required information legible? A rendered label cannot reveal every issue with fit or use.
Confirm the pack against the product specification and intended market. The suitability of materials, permitted claims and label text needs project-specific review; choosing a familiar bottle does not settle those questions.
Ask for a quote with the same assumptions
State the formula or ingredient direction, capsules per serving, units per pack, proposed pack components, order quantity and destination. Request the MOQ and unit price for that combination. Changing the count or pack can change the commercial answer even if the formula stays the same.
Vitaminlabs can discuss both private label capsule starting points and custom formulations. The first useful output is a specification that ties the daily serving to a manufacturable capsule and a pack your customer can understand.
