How to Choose a Private Label Supplement Manufacturer in Europe
The useful comparison is between complete proposals: the product, the checks behind it, the pack and what happens when you reorder.

Compare the work, not the headline
A manufacturer that offers capsules may still be the wrong partner for your capsule product. Ask whether the proposed formula, fill weight, pack and destination market are within the same production and quality scope. A catalogue entry or a statement about capacity does not answer that question.
Start each conversation with the same brief: intended consumer, sales market, format, preferred ingredients, estimated order quantity and launch window. Record where an existing formula can be used and where your requirements need technical review. Without a shared brief, quotations are difficult to compare.
Ask to see the product and its specification
Request a representative sample and the proposed product specification. For a flavoured powder, taste it in the liquid and serving conditions your customers will use. For a capsule, check capsule size, number of units per serving and the proposed pack. Note what the sample represents: a stock product, a prototype or the approved production formula.
Ask which changes remain possible after sampling and who signs off the final version. A colour, flavour or ingredient change can affect supply, testing, packaging or timing. Put approved changes into the specification before the production order is placed.
Check the quality and commercial scope
Request the quality documents relevant to your product: ingredient specifications, applicable certificates, product testing requirements and the records supplied for each batch. Check the certificate holder, standard, validity and scope instead of relying on a logo in a proposal. EU manufacture does not by itself establish that every ingredient, claim or label is suitable for every EU market.
Compare minimum order quantities for the actual formula and packaging configuration. Confirm what the quotation includes: ingredients, filling, primary and secondary packs, samples, testing and delivery. Ask which assumptions could change the price or lead time. Record the answer from each supplier in the same table.
Plan for the second order
A launch is only the first batch. Ask how formula revisions, ingredient substitutions, packaging changes and stock availability are handled at reorder. Confirm whether you can use the same specification and what needs fresh approval if a supplier changes.
The best choice is the partner whose product, documentation and commercial plan you can explain clearly to your own team. Vitaminlabs offers private label and custom routes across multiple formats; bring the brief and ask us for a proposal tied to your specific product.
